2023 was momentous for me → I grew my business by 7x (while pregnant)!

These are the 3 main drivers behind my massive growth:

1️⃣ Raising Prices

I’ve always been nervous about increasing prices - for fear of losing clients, imposter syndrome, etc.

But I was forced to do so this past year because I found myself running out of time.

I was getting a lot of interest for my career coaching program and I was running out of capacity.

Realising that my time was my greatest resource, I forced myself to raise prices in hopes of weeding out some clients.

To my surprise, my sales didn’t drop.

Looks like I was undercharging this whole time! 😅

This leads me to my next point - since increasing prices didn’t solve my problem, I focused on…

2️⃣ Hiring

I started hiring - like crazy.  From a 1 woman band to now almost 10 people in the team.

I hired career coaches to help take on new clients.

I hired social media managers to help with content creation.

I hired salespeople to help me take on more sales calls

Freeing up my time to do more coaching and more high-value tasks like strategizing and setting up new revenue streams in the business.

3️⃣ Launched New Revenue Streams
I launched my first group coaching program because I noticed that I was losing a lot of clients due to the high price point of my 1:1 and I wanted to be able to offer different tiers of products to support different clients with different budget constraints.

This group coaching programme ended up becoming popular and was one of the main drivers behind the exponential growth of my business.

TL;DR

Growth is all about experimentation and doing new things all the time.

I couldn’t have known that these experimentations would work (a lot of other things I tried didn’t), but the ones that did really moved the needle for me.

Which is a principle that I’d encourage all of you to adopt.

If you want to introduce change into your life, you have to start doing things differently.

Experiment and keep trying even when you fail (that includes applying for new jobs and test-driving potential new career paths!).

You’ll never know if you don’t try.

If I can 7x my business in one year, I’m sure you can do even better in your career in 2024!
