I was once a coward.

A person who stuck to the status quo.

✅ When I was young, I loved to draw. I even thought about majoring in art history at Columbia!

❌ But I majored in economics instead. Because it was “safer” & more “financially lucrative”.

❌ And ended up working at BlackRock for 7 years.

At BlackRock, I had the very best of everything.

But I felt lost & defeated.

And I thought, maybe…
I needed a change of environment? A different role?

And so I tweaked my surroundings -

👀  I switched from data analytics to a sales-focused role, which played better to my strengths
👀  I moved from NYC to HK, and even convinced my boss to let me work in London for a short stint
👀  I worked hard and was promoted to Vice President

❌ And while it helped temporarily, it didn’t resolve the underlying unhappiness.

Looking back, my journey would’ve been a lot faster if I had dared to ask for help.

To find someone to help uncover my blind spots

To find someone to help me believe that I didn’t have to settle for the status quo

That life outside of a conventional career IS possible and even better

And that’s why I became a career coach

To help others make that same terrifying career pivot.

To let you know that it’s ok to be unhappy even though you have that big fancy corporate job that thousands would kill for
