Big career decisions should not be black or white.

It’s not:

💰 money vs passion
💭 Interest vs prestige
🔥  purpose vs responsibility

It’s actually figuring out what you want and value in a career.

And see how you can combine them for what’s best for you at this stage of your life.

For the longest time, I stayed in BlackRock even when I had zero passion for finance.

I was earning so well.

Why would I want to leave?

I saw it as “money vs passion” – it had to be either this or that.

So I stayed put for 7 long years.

Then I went the opposite extreme

When I left BlackRock for StyleTheory, I took a huge pay cut to pursue my passion.

But it was worth it because I treated it as my personalized business school.

I was truly passionate about making fashion more sustainable.

I got a chance to -
💡 Work in the fashion industry (something I’ve always loved since I was a kid!)
💡 Help make the industry more sustainable by promoting renting > buying
💡 Do market research and study trends for a product and industry I’m actually fascinated by

I also got to learn so much, how to -
💡 Launch a business in a new country from scratch a business
💡 Build minimum viable products to test demand in the market
💡 Grow and scale a company and hire the right people
💡 Manage P&L and figure out how to optimize and balance between cost and revenue

And so much more

But at some point it wasn’t enough.

Passion doesn’t pay the bills.

And eventually, a similar sense of frustration that I felt when I was at BlackRock came over me

And I realized what I felt was two sides of the same coin.

And I realized that a dream career for me is not just blindly following money, or blindly following passion.

So I was determined to build a career that had both - money & passion.

Which led me to the third stage of my career - my coaching business.

I LOVE what I do.

And it gives me the financial stability that I’m looking for.

It wasn’t easy getting here.

And I work harder now than I’ve ever worked as General Manager of StyleTheory or a VP in BlackRock.

But now I know that this “dream” is attainable.

There’s no stopping me. And I want YOU to have it too.

Career decisions shouldn’t be “either this or that”.

So if you’re looking for help to figure out how to build a career that gives you both money and passion?
