Think that by just working hard and climbing the corporate ladder you’ll find happiness?

❌Think again

You won’t find happiness if you keep climbing someone else’s mountain

You’ll get to the top and wonder why you worked so hard to get here

When this was never the destination you wanted to get to

🌤️ The first step to building  your dream career  is to

💨 Really understand who you are and what drives you

And if this sounds too daunting and you don’t know where to start

Here’s a simple exercise to get you started

📜 Take a piece of paper and split it into two columns

1) In the first column write down what YOU value.

What are you trying to optimize your career for at the moment? Is it…

- Impact?
- Prestige?
- Intellectual stimulation?
- Making an impact?
- Money?
- Influence?

2) In the second column, write down what you currently have from your career. Is it…

- Money?
- Benefits?
- Work/life balance?
- Prestige?

Etc.

3. The discrepancy between the two lists is why you are unhappy with your job  and what your mountain looks like

This is a small example of what I work with my clients on in my 1:1 career coaching program

So if you are stuck in a perfect on paper job and need help trying to get direction in your career?
