Pregnancy has taught me a lot about businesses and growth.

Let me explain.

Being on this remarkable journey has been nothing short of unique, eye-opening, and life-changing.

But one of the things it also reminded me of is how patient I have to be with the process.

When I got pregnant, I was elated.

And I was so excited to see that bump grow. I really wanted to see that my baby was inside me.

But well…

My body did NOT start showing the least bit of change until about 23 weeks.

While I went for checkups and my gynae told me that my baby was growing fine, the Type A in me couldn't help but wonder why I wasn’t showing any growth.

I questioned myself:

Am I eating enough?
Am I moving enough?
Am I doing something wrong?

I was paranoid but I also didn’t stop doing whatever it was I had to do, as advised by my gynae.

And when I reached Week 24, boy, did my bump POP.

Now at almost full term, my body has really ballooned.

Somehow, this reminds me of my journey with my business.

The early months were hard – I barely saw any changes, any actual, tangible growth.

I knew that there were SOME changes and developments. Still, my impatient self wanted to actually SEE the changes in some tangible form – be it in numbers or any other indicator.

Nevertheless, I kept at it and didn’t give up.

I was consistent in working on my business and now, I’m proud to say that it’s been growing well in its own way.

So if you’re in the early months of working on your own project, just keep at it.

You will be growing

Sooner or later, you’ll see those numbers, that bump, and the growth that you’ve been waiting to see.

I’m rooting for you!
