Last weekend, one of my dreams came true -
I hosted my first-ever in-person community event for my clients.
And while it might not sound like much
When I started this journey in 2021, this room was an impossible dream.
Even getting one client seemed insurmountable
Let alone being able to build a community of like-minded high achievers determined to build a career that’s truly aligned with who they are.
My clients often mentioned feeling like the "odd ones out".
Especially when everyone around you seems to be settling on their careers, even if they’re not fully happy.
And you feel ungrateful for wanting more.
But here's the thing – it's absolutely okay to want more.
It's okay to want a career that fulfills you
It’s okay to want a career you wake up excited about
It’s okay if what you want from your career is outside what is seen as traditionally successful.
But I get it.
It can feel so lonely fighting against the crowd and charter your own career path.
And that’s why I created this community and hosted this gathering.
But I’m not going to lie - going into the event, I was nervous and wasn’t sure how people would respond
But I was pleasantly surprised.
At the event, everyone was so friendly and so open to -
⚡️Sharing their own experiences and how coaching helped them in their journey
⚡️Introducing and opening up their own personal network to help each other
⚡️And even creating a WhatsApp group at the end to stay in touch and share resources
And after the event, so many of my clients came up to me saying -
⚡️How thankful they were for having the opportunity to expand their network and people from all types of industries and backgrounds (from robotics to marketing to AI to data to consulting to architects to finance to healthcare and more - we had them all!)
⚡️How happy they were to have finally found their tribe and not feel so alone in this journey
⚡️How excited they were to see the progress other clients had gotten through the coaching program
And even asked if I could host these events on a more regular basis going forward!
The support they had for each other - it almost made me tear up.
And I’m truly blessed to be able to journey alongside them.
