I used to think that I had to work damn hard to “succeed”.

So I did just that.

I:
😞 Worked past midnight.
😞 Gave up my weekends.
😞 Said no to almost every social engagement.

It was a familiar routine & one that I knew would work. It’s how I got into an Ivy League school and later, became a VP at BlackRock.

Then I realised that there was something wrong with that life.
Yes, hard work was important but did it have to be so painful?

Surely I ought to be building a career that allowed me to do the things I loved too - without guilt

That’s how I first got into career coaching.

My own career coach turned my concept of work on its head

And trust me, it took a looong time for me to shake off the guilt of enjoying my work

What helped was when

I expanded my circle and met other people who shared my values while working hard.

Those people helped me let go of my limiting beliefs about “hard work” and “success”
And now as a career coach, I help people find their sweet spot between work and life too.

It makes me SO happy when I see my clients building a life and career that they want, on their own terms.

And you can do the same too.

I have a confession: It’s lonely being a career coach.
