I create a lot of online content and sometimes, people ask me: Why?
Aren’t you embarrassed? Why are you trying so hard?
Does it even have an impact on your business?
The short answer: Yes, it does.
Because every single piece of content that I put out is a touchpoint.
I’m reminding everyone that I exist, this is what I do, what I’m good at, what I care about and how I can help you.
My content isn’t for everyone, but it’s definitely for people who are:
✅ Soaring in their corporate careers
✅ But feel that something is nevertheless missing
✅ Want to switch careers but don’t know how or what they’d even want to pivot into
My ideal customer is very specific because they’re exactly who I was half a decade ago: the high-flying VP at BlackRock with a great salary and life but crippling doubts and anxiety within.
It took me 7 years to leave that security blanket.
And it happened because I started meeting people who were building unconventional careers that aligned with their own interests and strengths.
Suddenly, I realised that I wasn’t alone.
That even though this was unchartered territory, it had also been chartered by many other people before me.
People who were driven by the same belief that “there is more to life than this”.
And that’s why I do what I do -
I share my journey so openly because I want to let you know you’re not alone out there
That it’s okay to:
✅ Be grateful for your “perfect on paper” job - but also want more;
✅ Be scared to leave behind a steady, high paying job (they’re called golden handcuffs for a reason!);
✅ Dream, to define career success in your own terms, and to build a career that is “perfect for you”.
I don’t expect people to quit their jobs after reading 1 small post of mine (I hope you won’t!).
But over time, I hope to showcase more of my journey - the ups and downs and everything in between - and inspire you to do the same.
Eventually.
Just don’t wait too long.
And feel free to DM if you have any questions on making big career pivots and finding a career that’s perfect for you! 😉
