Hi blog, I’m Jennifer 👋

And some of you might consider me a failure. 😳

I once had a paper-perfect CV:

🔥Graduated from Columbia University with a degree in financial economics
🔥Earned 6-figures in my 20s
🔥Was Vice President at BlackRock (having worked in its New York, London & Hong Kong offices)

Then I threw it all away, and:

❌ Took a 50%+ pay cut to join a fashion startup
❌ Stayed in low budget hotels during business trips (a far cry from the corporate luxury hotel budget! 😅)
❌ Was judged by my own neighbours for being the “girl in flip flops”, when everyone else wore a business suit to work

But I learned a ton.

✅ I’d always loved fashion.
✅ And I was building something in the “real world” (without paying for a fancy $200k MBA)!

Yet my journey didn’t stop there.

I started the Ctrl Alt Career podcast because I wanted to know how people were building alternative careers.

And more and more people were asking me for help in pivoting from their current job.

The requests kept growing, and as I saw more people taking on careers that they loved

I knew that I was ready for another change:

👉🏻 To become a career coach and help people find & land the job they most wanted

Starting with this 1 question: Who are you most jealous of? 😝

*

Since then, I've helped people from Google, Microsoft, Stripe, Vanguard & Accenture leave their own paper-perfect jobs to find something perfect for them.

I even landed multiple features on the Straits Times (on the front page, no less) 😱.

I’d love to share my learnings with you here.
