Are some people just unlucky?

I’m not gonna lie - I was born with a lot of privileges:
 –
✅ Loving, involved parents

✅ Financial stability

✅ Access to quality education

✅ Family members in highly prestigious roles - the perfect role model for myself while growing up

Then there’s me.

I went to an Ivy League then worked my way to becoming a VP at BlackRock only to realise that I was miserable.

This is not to say that my privileges don’t matter – they very much do.

But while privilege matters, a huge part of career success is a result of choices

And yes, we ALL have choices, no matter how big or seemingly small

When I discovered my passion in fashion, I had little to no idea who to approach to restart my career

I needed to change.

The problem: My family was involved in finance, medicine, and law.

No one was involved in fashion, which I wanted.

So I started stalking people on LinkedIn, sending hundreds of cold DMs and requests for a “quick coffee”.

Most said no, of course.

But there were plenty of “Yes” too.

Those “Yes”es turned into open doors and began my foray into the world of fashion and now, a life of entrepreneurship.

Something that was made possible just because I asked.

Soon enough, I realised that there were plenty of people just like me - high-achieving, high potential corporate figures who were miserable in their careers and needed an OUT but didn’t know how.

So I began my business as a career coach.

To date, I’ve helped multiple clients switch from DBS Bank, Vanguard, KPMG and other big and small companies to a career that they love.

You don’t have to be miserable and stuck at work.

And if you want some help, just DM me SWITCH.

I’d love to see how I can help you too!
