“When a person can’t find a deep sense of meaning, they distract themselves with pleasure.” — Viktor Frankl

Here’s a telltale sign you’re not happy with your career:

If you’re someone who tries to distract yourself by:

- planning trips to get away every month
- living for the weekends
- splurging on things you don’t need to make yourself feel better

Then maybe it’s time to re-evaluate if you’re truly happy with your career.

I know this because I was once that person.

But in my current job? I find myself:

- reading books and articles that somehow happen to be relevant to my job
- still going out to nice meals and planning fun things for the weekends but…

I no longer LIVE for the weekends

I no longer need to fill my weekends to justify my Monday to Friday slog
