I grew up ticking all the right boxes -

✅ I got good grades
✅ Went to an Ivy League
✅Got a job at a prestigious financial institution

I made my parents happy and achieved what society deemed successful.

But deep down I always felt that something was missing.

And so I would try different things - I’d aim for…
- A promotion
- A pay raise
- A change in job scope
- A change in location

And while these things helped in the short term

I couldn't quite shake that deep hollow feeling.

Looking back, I probably knew early on that this was not the right career for me

But I stayed, for 7 YEARS.

I thought this was what growing up meant.

I felt irresponsible giving up a nice cushy job to “pursue my dreams”, especially when I didn’t even know what my dream really was.

I was worried about not making money, failing and what my family would think.

But I did eventually find the courage to leave

And pivoted to work at a fashion startup where it is much more aligned with the person I am.

This is also why I started my podcast #CtrlAltCareer and my career coaching business

To share stories of people who have successfully taken the leap.

And to help you get clarity and build a career that’s perfect for you.

So if you feel anything like how I felt, send me a msg, I’d love to chat!
