A perfect career path takes time to build.
I’m a prime example of that.
While things may seem rosy for me at this point, it wasn’t always the case.
I struggled for 7 years in a “perfect on paper” job at BlackRock before I finally followed my dream and pivoted into a career in fashion.
And with my career coaching business took me almost one whole year to land just 10 clients.
I’m not gonna lie – I almost gave up. It was so hard and demoralising to keep going.
For every 10 discovery calls I had, 9 out of 10 times they would say no to my coaching program.
But I continued.
Why? Because building a career coaching business was aligned with my values and purpose - (i) helping others, (ii) building something from scratch, (iii) flexibility, and (iv) financial upside.
Knowing my values and uncovering a career that was truly aligned with my purpose made it easier to stick through the hard times
And this is why I always tell my clients: Find your purpose.
Pivoting into your dream job is not easy. The road is paved with rejection upon rejection.
And that’s why so many people give up and just take the conventional route, and stick with a mediocre career even though they know it’s not for them.
Because change is hard.
And if you’re not sure how to even figure out what that purpose is, look no further.
Contact me “PURPOSE” and we’ll figure it out.
I’ve helped many of my past clients figure out their career purpose and they’ve come from multiple companies like BCG, KPMG, and Shopee.
Let’s figure out something for you.
