I’m picky when it comes to my clients for 4 reasons:

🔥 Commitment

Are you truly committed to trying to build a career you love?

Do the hard work to get the clarity that you need.

The process is tough and bumpy.

I will give you 1000% of my commitment to help you land that dream job

But I won’t be able to do self discovery on your behalf, network on your behalf, or interview on your behalf.

🔥 Decisive

Are you someone who’s going to keep consuming free content & make endless pros/cons lists without ever taking action?

Or are you going to finally put your foot down, seek help and start taking steps towards your dream career?

Remember: Inaction is a form of action.

You don't want to be that person.

🔥Chemistry

Sometimes, we click with certain people and other times, we don’t.

The simple question to ask is this: Would I want to sit with you on an 8-hour flight?

If so, we’ll probably click and that’s a promising start when working with anyone.

🔥 Trust

When speaking with prospective clients, I sometimes encounter people who ask why this program is going to work for them

That’s a major red flag for me.

Because for this working relationship to work, we need trust.

More specifically, I need you to trust me with:

1️⃣ What you truly care about

It can be scary to be so vulnerable with a stranger and also yourself, but this is something that we’ll be working on together.

2️⃣ Be willing to surrender to the process

That means doing the homework that you’re set!

If you’re constantly questioning the process, you’re not spending time doing the work and getting the results you can.

3️⃣ Be receptive to my questions and suggestions

I won’t tell you what to do, but you need to have an open mind and not come fixated on a preconceived notion or goal.

*

I’ve noticed that a lot of career coaches don’t achieve the success that I’ve had with my clients.

That’s often because they don’t filter the clients that they work with, e.g. these clients were referred to by their company as a “work perk”.

So they come out of "obligation" while questioning the need for a coach.

Not the best start to any working relationship!

That’s why all of my clients are people who are clear that they want to find their perfect-for-them career and trust that I’ll get them there.

After all, I went through that same painful process myself.

It was tough going from being a VP at BlackRock (for 7 years!) to a startup operator, to giving up on launching a VC-backed startup to running my own coaching business.

I’ve been through the ups and downs and worked with many others who have and are doing the same.

Everyone is on that journey.

But if you’re ready to get some help, why not?

Time is of the essence. 😉

PS: I’m a former BlackRock VP turned career coach who helps other high-flying professionals from organisations like Nestle, Vanguard and Stripe find their perfect-for-them careers. If you’d like to learn more, just DM me TIME!
