🤔 Think it’s too late for you to switch careers?
Think no one will hire you because you already have decades of experience in a completely different field?
Think you’ll never be able to convince someone to match your current salary?
Think you’re too old to learn something new?
Think you’re too old to compete with these young, gungho kids with all the energy in the world?
đź‘Ť I want you to think again.
👍 You’re never too old to switch careers.
đź‘Ť I want you to reframe these fears
The job market is constantly evolving
Linear career paths are no longer the norm
As someone who has made major career switches myself, I want to share with you why it's never too late to pivot to a new path.
⏲️ Sunk cost fallacy
Don’t let the amount of time that you’ve already spent doing something
Stop you from pivoting into a career you love.
Looking forward, you can choose to be happy or be miserable
In both scenarios, the exact same amount of time and commitment has already been committed.
🔢 Age is but a number
Stop using age as an excuse to avoid your fears.
I get it -
Saying it’s too late or you’re too old to change will stop people from questioning you further.
It’s also a great excuse to convince yourself not to do anything about your life.
But I want you to be real with yourself
Is it really too late?
Or are you just scared?
🏷️ You just need to learn how to sell yourself
Don’t let people make assumptions about you.
Create your own narrative.
You’re only too old if you tell people you’re too old
Or if you let people define you by your age
✨ So, if you're considering a career change but are hesitant because you feel like it's too late, know that it's never too late to take that leap.
👩‍🚀 As a career coach, I have helped my clients navigate this transition and find a path that aligns with their goals and aspirations.
